Chapter 6 of the textbook enlightens the world of research through the eyes of two types of research studies, qualitative and quantitative research studies; despite their differences, the two kinds of studies aim to enhance the search for empiric-based, non-biased search for truth and awareness. Specifically, the aim of research is to ensure that the search for truth and awareness does not rely on biased and subjective aspect of truth; moreover, research studies rely on triangulation, which comprises of measures, observers, theory, and method.
