Neuman (2020) asserts in Chapter 9 the importance of experimental research in the field of social science research and in sociology; this kind of research uses the actual observation on participants through the use of an intervention or a factor that might affect participants. One matter discussed by Neuman is mundane realism, wherein experimental conditions seem to be natural and similar to an outside-lab setting situation. Another discussed matter is the experimental realism, wherein the researcher/s shapes the experiment into a very realistic setting to create realistic levels of experimental impact to the participants.
