Discussion 11 Answer

This week’s chapter readings explain and discuss the totality and nature of field research/study and focus groups, wherein these two are important and relevant in the social science research study field. Neuman (2020) asserted that field studies involve hanging out with people, wherein it does not involve any “cold mathematics or complicated statistics and no abstract deductive hypotheses”. Moreover, field studies obtain first-hand, direct, and real-life situation-based information, acquiring data through direct observation of the natural social setting and interaction with different people.
