The Constitution: Origin & Development Answer

The article reports that New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy is only leading by one percentage of the total votes in re-election bid. President Joe Biden won by a margin of 16 percent in New Jersey in 2020 and Murphy led by two-digit margins in pre-election polls. Hence, the result of the election has been a surprise. Observers noted that the close race was not due to the low turnout of Democrat voters.
