Explain the difference between the Virginia Plan and the New Jersey Plan.
In the Virginia Plan, a bicameral legislature was proposed while the New Jersey Plan proposed a unicameral legislature. The former also proposed that the number of representatives in the lower house shall be based on state population and state legislatures will elect two senators while the latter proposed that there will be equal representation among the states in Congress.
