What surprised me was that other than the retirement pensions and disability pensions, there are the SSI that is part of the social security benefits. This is quite new to me as it was not disclosed when the SSS deduction was introduced to me. But I do agree that the people who currently pays or funds for the retirement benefits of the retired people were the current working people. And this cycle will continue not unless there will be a sudden change, which I don’t think will be possible.
