• How does literature teach us about society, values, history, human psychology*?  Use one of this week’s assigned stories and respond using concrete examples from the text. *(You can focus your answer on just one of these areas.)

The work of writers from all different ages reflect more than just their thoughts. It identifies with what they can see around them, how they see their world in their own time. Hence, it creates an imagery of what was then and a comparative description of what is now. This idea behind literary presentations and explanations in different stories is clearly identified in Ernst Hemingway’s (1933) A Clean, Well-Lighted Place.
