How do you respond to what some have referred to as the “cancel culture” movement–revisiting history books, monuments, literature to erase the implicit privilege of “white culture” and recognize  BIPOC  and AAPI values? Should we make the past accountable to the values of the present? Should we/can we erase history in such a way? Is this the best practice to eliminate discrimination, or does it further racial tensions?  Which writer speaks most to your own opinions?

For me, the cancel culture, which is as they say necessary to eradicate racism and reach social change is not recommendable in two ways, first, it might create bigger racial tensions and problems, and second, it is not timely. First, it commits to a much worse racial tension because along the way, the minorities and underprivileged racial groups might ask for more, increasing their position and
