WEEK 5a. DISCUSSION FORUM: CHAPTER 16 FROM “AG” TEXTBOOK- IMPORTANT: WRITE ALL RESPONSES TO DISCUSSIONS IN A “QUESTION AND ANSWER” FORMAT. INCLUDE THE NUMBER IN WHICH YOU ARE RESPONDING TO.

Make sure that you have read Chapter Sixteen from the “American Government” textbook first before responding back to the below question prompts.  Chapter Sixteen examines Domestic Policy in the United States.

 

  1. Which national policy issue is most deserving of our attention today?  Healthcare?  Immigration reform?  LGBTQIA rights?  Covid-19 policy?  Make your case in at least 200 words.
  2. Generally speaking, do you prefer a progressive taxsystem or a flat tax system.  Justify your response with at least 200 words. 
  3. Respond to at least two of your peers.  Each responseshould be at least 100 words. 

For your answers above don’t forget to use at least one “scholarly” peer-reviewed source and your free “AG” textbook to validate your information.  Use APA “in-text” citations where necessary (including for the “AG” textbook) and include your references at the end of your responses.

*Don’t forget that your initial response to the discussion prompt(s) is always due by Thursday evening by 11:59 p.m. and then your two peer responses are always due by Sunday evening at 11:59 p.m. (and not a second later).
