Interacting with Baby

Scientists have discovered (based on equipment like the fMRI) that

“Babies are thinking long before they talk.”

As you consider the readings for this week and the statement above in particular answer the following questions:

  1. How do these findings impact how we should approach interaction with babies?

    2. How would you go about explaining the importance of these findings to parents, family members, and care givers? What kind of empirical evidence would you offer?

    3. Offer at least three clear examples of behaviors that have an impact on the development of babies that caregivers may not automatically recognize? Be specific and detailed.

**Hint:In our text there are several examples of behaviors on the part of caregiver that impact child development.**
