Discussion Chapter 1: Information Technology, The Internet and You Answer

I can now differentiate or distinguish system software and application software. System software are software working on the background that manages internal resources and enables the interaction with the computer hardware. It is not a single program but a collection of programs such as Operating systems and the different utilities. Operating systems serves as an interface for users to interact with applications on the computer.
