Are we too connected to political parties? Have Americans become too partisan or is that merely a mirage fabricated by the media?

In my personal opinion, yes we are too connected to political parties. I believe that Americans have become too partisan and here is why. In lecture #9 titled, “Party Identification” there are two voter models that are deeply reviewed and analyzed. One is known as the Traditional Model and the other is known as the Michigan Model.
