ecently, media is accused of fear-mongering and misinformation related to the COVID-19 pandemic ad how it affects the government’s pandemic response. Barau et al. explains that the proliferation of misinformation on social media platforms is spreading faster than the actual COVID-19 virus and it is creating multiple social problems. It is well-established how informative and influential the media is particularly in how people make sense of information.
