Excerpt

HIV and AIDS are diseases that can be prevented for as long as sexual partners are engaging in safe sex. Nonetheless, it is important to be cautious of where these two diseases came from considering how historically massive the AIDS epidemic was. As the years have gone by, newfound knowledge about HIV transmission has encouraged people to take precautionary measures. In this scenario, as a parent with two children who are going to engage sexually once they mature, they must be aware of these sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Although there are ways to manage the symptoms and effects of STDs in the modern world, staying away from their risk factors would result in a sexpositive environment. By being knowledgeable about the course of these infections, these children can exercise birth control and healthy sexual behaviors in the future to lessen the chances of them potentially acquiring STDs.
