Technology has driven change in society and pushed the boundaries for human intelligence. Society in the modern world has become dynamic and changes often. The study of postmodernism in a society is important because it can explain postmodern life (e.g., the motivators for these changes). Postmodernism is a concept that is often unstable. Cultural theorists define postmodernism because of the 20th-century restructuring of the capitalist economy. The modernist approach defines postmodernism as a response of culture to the modern life ephemeral character that associates to the idea of unity, acceptance of difference, plurality in the ways of being, and irreducible conflict in human relationships. In addition, the integrations of new belief systems can be defined through postmodernism. For instance, individuals can decide a belief (e.g., Religion) with the presence of this set of beliefs that suits their choice and lifestyle. However, many sociologists argue that this choice is also influenced by capitalism.
