The identity of a nurse is not only defined by the established structures of professional identity that they are required to follow through. They are also defined by their natural inkling to the pattern of care that they are supposed to provide their patients. As a nurse works with a healthcare organization and directly with patients, he develops new and improved understanding of his responsibilities (Larson, et al, 2013). In this case it is safe to argue that progressive nursing requires consistent pattern of continuous learning in practice.
