Going two years into the pandemic, the world has learned a lot from these disease-stricken times. Different sectors have learned how to adjust and try to live with the pandemic and being flexible seemed to be a good attitude towards this health problem. But perhaps if there is one thing that the pandemic shown us, it is the vulnerability of the health care sector to a sudden influx of patients, in this context those who have been infected with the Covid-19 virus. Health care practitioners and patients alike have personally experienced how hard life is in this sector, and so it is rightful enough that additional legislation be passed to support and to protect people especially those who are risking their lives everyday: the healthcare workers. This paper will review an active bill in Congress that has a direct influence in nursing practice in the United States of America.
