Excerpt

Social entrepreneurship is the method by which entities would try to find any business that would help in addressing issues within the society. The entrepreneur who would want to venture into the said businesses usually would have their positive impact within the society. Usually, these businesses are for non-profits or usually blended profits wherein they try to implement strategies wherein it will provide a good return to the society. The use of various metrics in this area is important especially it tries to broaden different goals which is to assure that the problems in the society will be addressed significantly. Moreover, there are instances that the social enterprises would be established for the goal of supporting any cultural or social endeavors within the society, for instance there are enterprises that would want to provide housing for the homeless people. Through this objective, they create a business which would be for profit and at the same time would help in this social endeavor. They could create money from the said process and at the same time respond to the needs within the society. This shows a positive situation between the community and also the entrepreneurs as they implicitly obtain profits from such acts that help the society as a whole. Being involved in this kind of business means following four qualities which are being creative, having the entrepreneurial mindset, knowing the social impact of the process and also having the ethical considerations in every action they will take. These are the characteristics that should be followed by the social entrepreneur especially in terms of assuring that the business will not only flourish but also will have the positive impact in the community where it operates (Sekliuckiene & Kisielius, 2015)
