In a response of at least 250 words, compare “Mrs. Sen’s” and “This Blessed House” (see “Strategies for Writing a Comparative Paper” in Schlib and Clifford, p. 161–167). Prepare for your response by making a list of similarities and differences between the stories. Then, review your lists and ask yourself:

  • What pattern emerges from these observations of the text?
  • What is significant about these similarities and differences?
